St John Medieval Museum and Coningsby Hospital

The Communal Room

The Communal Room, now part of the Coningsby Museum, was created by Sir Thomas Coningsby for the use of his ex-servicemen or servitors as they were known. Sir Thomas introduced the partition wall separating the museum from the chapel which also provided structural support for the infirmary floor above.
